Along with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University, Cobetter Filtration has sponsored a scholarship geared towards undergraduate students.  The scholarship aims to inspire scientific research and innovation, improve independent thinking, strengthen and enhance scientific research.

All applications must be submitted by April with a maximum of 5 scholarships awarded for the academic year.  Each student will receive ¥10,000 RMB with Cobetter giving a total of ¥50,000 RMB to the scholarship fund.

The requirements and conditions for students wishing to apply include:

a. Basic Requirements

1. Good Grades

2. Follow Chinese law and school rules

3. Received “Student Physical Health Standards” the previous academic year

4. Year 2 or above undergraduate students who have not previously received the scholarship

b. Meet One of the Following Conditions:

1. Founding Member of a Team Set to Participate in "National College Students Innovative Experimental Plan", "Zhejiang University Student’s Science and Technology Innovation Activities", "Zhejiang University Student’s Research and Training Program, College-level SRTP, or other academic research activities.

2. Awarded Scientific Research and/or Other Activities by the National/Provincial/University/Department

3. Independent Thinking in Other Areas with Positive Results

Student Applications will be evaluated as followed:

1. Sponsored by the Department of Mechanical Engineering

2. Application form with supporting documents

3. Assessed by the Innovation Competition Review Committee

4. Initial evaluation will reduce number of applicants to 7 or 8 students with further review to determine the 5 scholarship recipients

5. Announce recipients at lunch given at Zhejiang University

Recipients of the scholarship with be paired with an older student as a mentor and have a visit arranged to tour the facilities of Cobetter Filtration.
