Hydrophilic / Hydrophobic PVDF Membrane
Cobetter Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) membrane is available in Hydrophobic or Hydrophilic version. The PVDF membrane is produced with high porosity and optimized porous structure, offering 15% higher flow rate than competitors. (Hydrophilic Version).
The Hydrophobic version PVDF membrane is sometimes used as a carrier media of biosensors, but in most cases a transfer membrane for protein blotting applications (Western Blotting / ELISPOT). Because of its ultra-low protein adsorption, there will be no lost of proteins during reprobing or transfer. The optimized porous structure of Cobetter PVDF membrane makes it easy to access bound proteins and remove unbounded probes. The low background for fluorescent blots of PVDF membrane significantly increases signal-to-noise ratios for high sensitively in quantitative, multiplexing applications.

The Hydrophilic version PVDF membrane, with very low protein binding feature, is ideal for clarification and sterile filtration of bio-pharmaceutical fluids. If positively-charged, the Hydrophilic version has excellent endotoxin removal efficiency and is also ideal for 96/120 hours lifetime IV filters. Both versions have broad chemical compatibility and gamma tolerance.
